This is true for crankshaft journals, connecting rods, camshaft lobes, piston rings, bearings, etc. When rebuilding a worn out engine youll need to replace them all in order to regain the engines original performance. This replacement piston fits 97-00 Cherokee XJ, 97-06 Wrangler TJ and 96-98 Grand Cherokee ZJ and 99-00 Grand Cherokee WJ models equipped with 2.5 or 4.0 liter engines. Standard bore. Includes wrist pin. Sold individually- use four or six depending on application. Replaces OE 4798329
