Continuing ICON Vehicle Dynamics' commitment to innovation and performance, the 2.5 Series Finned Reservoir Upgrade Kit delivers both functional and aesthetic enhancements for ICON 2.5 Series and 3.0 Series piggyback and remote reservoir shocks. Featuring a finned reservoir design and included dovetail reservoir mounting rails, this upgrade provides a cleaner, more refined reservoir mounting without need for traditional hose clamps, while also significantly improving cooling performance. With a 115% increase in surface area over standard reservoirs, heat is dissipated more efficiently, allowing shocks to maintain consistent damping performance during prolonged, high-demand off-road use. This added cooling capacity is especially beneficial for ICON CDCV, CDXS, and CDEV shocks, where heat is generated in both the shock body and reservoir. The finned design also increases reservoir rigidity and improves resistance to rock and debris impacts. By incorporating a slightly larger outside diameter, the fins absorb potential trail damage while helping protect the critical inner sealing surface from deformation. Installation is performed during a shock rebuild, and each upgrade kit includes a pair of 10” finned reservoirs, dovetail reservoir mounting rails and clamps, and all necessary hardware for installation.
